Is 11600 QR total package salary excluding medical insurance and tickets Enough?

Hello Pals, I guess you fed up of such questions, but I'm in a mess, and can't decide,
I've been offered to get re-allocated to manage our company branch in Doha with salary of 11600 QR "total package" excluding medical insurance and 2 tickets to home country, is it enough for me and my future wife? Currently I get a total package close to this package in KSA, the expected position in Qatar is better , at well-known company.
Hoping to find the advice so I don't regret after. Meanwhile I've a bad boss, who offends me all the way,
Can anyone give me an intimate advice please?
I can't sleep since I've gotten this offer, and I'm sure it's not appealing salary, but refusing it may create issues with my upper management, as they try to help me get promoted.
I'm hesitated; also don't want to loose this opportunity,
I would greatly appreciate your kind advice for the above,
Thank you in advance

Thank you so much friends,

your input helps me a lot, at least to rely on if they gonna raise the accomodation allowence, or the total package,

last night got someone offering rent apartments, called him today he told me that i can find a 2 bed room apartment + two bathrooms,+kitchen + hall in Dafna area (where also my office lies) with 4000 QR, is that true?

and he said one bed room with hall and one bathroom+kitchen with 2700 QR maximum 3000,do you think what he mentioned is realiastic?

they offered me 3000 QR for accomodation out of the above total package.

actually i live in KSA for 17 years :)

I've been told Qatar not to different from KSA.

Please advice,

thank you all for your intimate answers

If you were offered the same offer in KSA, then I advice you to go to KSA, I heard its so much cheaper than Qatar and the chance to save there is higher alot than Qatar. Qatar is a very expensive country!!!

Good Luck

Men... take the offer... and when you get here, since you have a bad boss... hahaha... resign and find another job here in doha... it's nice to work here...

you have two reasons to leave your migrate here:

1) your present boss is horrible.

2) you dont want to make problems as they helped promote you.

One reason for not coming here:

1) high rents on accomodation.

You mentioned "future wife" innit?! that means you are single..you can look for a single bedroom if keen to be independent or else a sharing for the time being will do until you are married & later can look for a single bedroom.

1 bedroom hall kitchen should not cost more than 2500 QR/month. Lookout for more information on QL Rent Classifieds.

Qatar is more expensive than Saudi. Now as the offered package is not much different than wht you recieve presently, you are ultimately going to save much less than what you do in Saudi.

Decision is yours.

Dear Frined;

Housing is very expensive as detailed by other friends, I think you should either ask Qatari company to include housing / revise the package to 15000/ at least; or proceed with Saudi company as you can for sure with the given package can save 60% more than here in present circumstances...

Good luck.

You must ask for suitable accommodation. QR 11600 without accommodation is very little and you may spend 50% of your salary on accommodation.

The problem is the housing costs here. You could spend your whole salary on a three-bedroom villa (and more). I'm not sure I've heard of two-bedroom flats for less than 8,000 QR/mo.
