I was looking into getting a loan for a used car as well. The banks that I looked at (Doha and Commercial)would give car loans but only for cars that were purchased from dealerships and only for cars that were less than 3 years old (in the case of Doha Bank) or 5 years old (in the case of Commercial). However, they told me that I could get a personal loan from them (for a car) as long as I had a salary account with them and there had been three months wages gone into the account. The interest rate for the perosnal loan was close to 10%.
