HI Buddy..

First, You must have their receipt.

And it's not enough if it wasen't in your name to sell them, unless the owner is along with them with valid Qatari I.D and if you don't have a receipt @ all then you need to verify & clarify them @ police station, for registration and quick investigation, just to assure the source of the gold beside if there's any case toward them .

then they will isue a note which's entitling you to sell them in the market or personally.

HEY NEWMEMBER...DON'T WORRY.. IT IS VERY SIMPLE. I DID SIX MONTHS AGO. FIRST U HAVE TO TAKE UR GOLD AND ID CARD TO CAPITAL POLICE STATION. THERE IS A COUNTER FOR GOLD SELLING, JUST GET THE LETTER FROM THERE AND U CAN SELL IT ANY JEWELLERY.

The only way to register the gold in the police dept. (Capital office of Police dpt.)and take the registration paper with the gold to any gold shop who accepts buying using gold.

I have done this once.

I dont think you need Police approval to sell your gold better way just go to any jewallary and if they advise then only go for this procedure.

any re-sale of gold should be approved by police first.

You can report it to the Capital Police Station located just next to UmmGuwilina (Mughlina) Signals...the road that leads to Sana R/A while you are coming from Jaidah FlyOver.
