Written English for Resume/c.v?

Hi there,

I am thinking of starting a service in Qatar. So I would like to get the opinions of people on this forum.

I am a native English speaker. Obviously in the Gulf we all work with people of many different nationalities. I have notice many of my non native English speaking colleagues, speak English almost perfectly. But when I see their resume or official documents and letters, their written English is not nearly as strong as their spoken.

Just say you were to hire a new employee for your company...Do you think that a well written c.v and cover letter, would give an applicant an advantage, when applying for the job?

For those on the forums who doesn't speak English as your first language... How much would you bee willing to pay for someone going over your resume to give you and advantage when applying for jobs?

Let me know what you all think...

Thanks in Advance!
