Would an employer start negotiating an offer when you are flown in for an interview?

Hello

I will be at HMC for the an interview, tours etc. from Saturday Jan.3 through Wednesday.Jan. 7.

Do you know if they make offers during the interview process? Or, do employers typically wait?

I really need to be employed, and have heard that some hires can take up to 6 months to complete.

Do you have any insights as to what HMC is apt to do when it comes to their hiring practices? I am non clinical, so not expecting my position is highly urgent, although I know the position I am applying for has been vacant for almost a year.

Do they expedite hires to less than 2 months or will they take you sooner than that?

What is the typical wait time between interview, offer, and actual hire and start date?
