When Labor Dept. will Wake-UP?

Hi all,

It is very funny part that Qatar labor department is not worrying about the working people during Ramadan.

This year it is really a long time fasting. Doesn’t matter of it since we will get rewards from Our all mighty GOD.

BUT, when the department put the rule WHY they don’t bother to check whether is it in practice.

All officers who are having luxury time in office get this rule, but the really needed labors and other staff work 10 hrs and more even in some cases during Ramadan.

STILL, there are holes also in this rules as usual, saying "If any company need can work extra hrs" they have not mentioned clearly about OT. but mentioned as extra hrs. where companies use this as an excuse for there no pay extra hrs.

May almighty ALLAH make these labor department people's eye open and let them think about this issue at least this year, where we have the Ramadan in a very hot and long time... Ameen

LP,...No Muslim scholar can make such mistakes in writing/reading it...I think that one mistake which is left, that is in your rewriting!

LP, You had already helped the person when you made him aware that Ramadan timings are the same for all here irrespective of the religion they follow. There was really no need to add the religious text.

LP i dont know frm which scholar u got tat trasncription, but here is the correct way to pronounce it my friend !"La ilaha illallah Mohammed dur Rasool Allah"

Rizks, I don't need your love. I was embraced by true Muslims long ago, and whatever you assume is wrong! I was giving a poor person a tip to enjoy the benefits of being a Muslim, and how to become one. And by the way, from the English transcription you can hardly guess the pronunciation. But obviously you have your fixed opinion.

Don't blame me, ghazalz. Blame the scholars who produce wrong transcriptions, obviously.

The Labor Law defines the 6 working hours for ALL workers, not only for Muslims! Go and fight for your rights, or else, suffer!

is the labor law in the observance of ramadan is not applicable for non-muslims? in other countries, wether you believe in Christmas or not, you still receive Christmas bonuses and enjoy long Christmas vacation. good thing if you are not a believer of Jesus you will not accept the Christmas bonus your company is giving you...

This is not about being a complainer, this is about the fair implementation of law.

Okay then. Say: "La ilaha illa Allah, Muhanimadur rasoolu Allah".Quoted from Professor Mohammed Abdullatif - U.A.E. University, Dubai. And the intention is the same. If you can't get the same working hours as your Muslim brothers, become a Muslim!

LP if u dont know how to pronounce a Kalimah properly u shouldn't be writing it - just the sake of it ?

Why don't you say: La ila ilah Allah, Mohammed rasulu Allah. Then you are a Muslim and you work from 5 to 12?

our company is implementing 5am to 12pm(muslims) & 5am up to 5pm(non muslims)...when will they wake up?...normally it is 6am to 6pm, but since it is ramadan...they adjusted it 1 hour earlier....& they still greeted us on the memo happy ramadan...

Mr. Edmarker. You made a good point. For example, in the UK, we work our 7 and a half hours a day during Ramadaan. Fajr can be as early as 2:30 a.m.and the breaking of fast can be around 10 p.m. Then we have Tarawih. So we tend to sleep very little.Hence, whatever time off we get from work here in Qatar, we should take it as a blessing. At least we can rest a bit here. But it is not right, though, if there is a rule about Ramadan timings here in Qatar and some unscrupulous companies do not adhere to it, specially that the heat here can be a killer. Whether, they pay OT or normal hours is another matter. The point is, these companies SHOULD adhere to the rules and NOT breaching them.I take this opportunity to wish all my Muslim brothers and sisters a Blessed month and may this month be the best month of Ramadan you have ever had. May God Almighty Accept from us our actions.

DO YOU THINK this is an easy job? the point here us we always complaint and we dont think about our brothers and sisters who are crying and even they fast... we always send donations to them and i've seen myself how they are suffring... and yet we are complainning about timing VS fasting...
