What items from the USA might sell well in Qatar?

Hi. I'm scheduled to move to Qatar soon and am wondering, first, if it's legal and legit for me to bring some items with me (from the USA) with the intention of selling them in qatar. I'm also wondering what items (e.g. clothing, small electronics) might sell best and generate the best profit.
Thanks!

I don't think you can make any money for the effort of selling privately. It's not worth it. Unlike in US, you can utilize ebay, craiglist, etc. but there aren't any online engine like that here.

For your personal belongings, I would suggest bring brand name Jeans, shoes, and books especially children books. They are much more expensive here. I find that any american brand names including food such as cereals are more expensive than in US.

For electronic items, don't bring PS2, PS3, or Sony because you won't be able to use the games bought from here. It's PAL system. If you're already own them, then make sure you bring lots of games with you. Nintendo DS is fine. In fact, this item is very expensive here, around 600 QAR.

I hope this help a little.
