Is there a consumers court in Qatar to lodge a complaint for deficiency of service
My QTel land line is out of order since the 29th of Dec and even after lodging a complaint and visiting QTel offices several times, no action is forthcoming. My land line gets a message saying" your service is temporarily suspended" but my ADSL is ok. After my 3rd visit QTel rep acknowledged that they have a cable problem in Najma and Mansoura areas and it is being attended on a 24 hrs basis.
They dont have a clue when the telephone connection will be restored.
In my opinion this is deficiency in service on part of QTEL and as a customer they should provide an alternate e.g. a free mobile with talk time in Qatar free and charge only for international calls, till my land line is restored.
Also, they should not charge me the telephone rental for the said period.
Can anybody suggest if we can approach a consumers court in Qatar, so that we can get our grevience attended.
I understand many customers are suffering due to this problem for the past week and since QTel has handed over the job of attending telephone faults to a contractor who probably is not realising the customers woes and taking his own sweet time to resolve the problem
Welcome to Qatar!
Honestly never had a problem with QTel.
You make a complaint at 111. The next day they show up. Unless there is some very major problem the stuff is solved there itself.
The guy who came to my place Mr Sashi doesn't even take "Tips".

You are in Qatar and it is a technical fault and is affecting not only you but many others in that area. I dont think you will be entertained by any court in this case as QTEL will tell that they are trying to find out the faulty cable to fix it asap. Now it is the monopoly of QTel and you will have to wait for them to fix it.
You are in the gulf, unforturniately. No Service level should be expected.
