TAMU - Qatar working conditions

I am being interviewed for an assistant professor position at TAMUQ. I have read some online horror stories about working in the Middle East at some universities, most notably those in the UAE. Has anyone here worked at TAMUQ and how would they compare it to working as a professor at a Western university?

I've only heard good things about faculty positions in all the US universities in Education City. Qatar University is a different story.

Without any doubt, its one of the best places to work at in Qatar. The spirit of Aggieland is found throughout the campus.

It's an American university, so it's the same in every way as the main campus. Just be careful driving to work!
