Ramadan Kareem,

Can anyone tell me the best way to get into an oil and gas company via an security position? It seems to be quite hard for an western expat to land a job in this field

Thanks guys for any comments, even the sarcastic ones!

Thanks David.

Well, most of the people who are applying in Gulf Times are looking for various positions, ranging from security to engineering to health care as well! so it's all available. And btw, send your CV to the many vacancies that companies put in classifieds. From what i have heard,HR people actually go through the ads,and if you're lucky, they might call you soon.Like i said before, keep applying and good luck!

Thanks alot guys for the reply's. I have yet to put an add in the classifieds, i doubt H.R guys even read those. I thought most of the people who did were looking for more low key jobs. I will however do just that. Never thought it would be this hard to find a good job with an oil and gas company. To be honest, im not even sure if my C.V is even reaching anyway with hiring power....Ramadan Kareem guys..enjoy the Eid Vacation.

Because western expats for those positions do not make economic sense
