Saudi by a company car

hi All,

does anyone know something more about the recent changes in crossing the border with the company car?

So far i was going to Saudi without a problem with the letter issued by the company.

Apparently, there was an article in the paper yesterday that it will be possible to cross the border only with the car in the driver's name

Please advise.

Hi Killer

This is what i used to do so far and no problems at all but apparently something changed last week and it is not possible to do it anymore... Not sure if anyone tried yet, i don't want to get stopped at the border because of some rule change. I did ask the sponsor to check it as well and it seems that nobody is aware even though there was an article in Gulf times about it...

Better the car under the drivers name if not here what i did recently last month going to bahrain crossing saudi:

Went with the car owner to Ministry of Justice (Near Doha Bank West bay) type a letter from the ground floor similar to NOC, attach the Car registration and Car owner ID go to First floor and let the owner sign it in front of officer, then pay 25 riyal in the counter, get it stamped from there. Then take the same paper to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (C Ring Road - Near Gulf Cinema) for attestation.

Then go to traffic dept with the car owener and make a car pass for traveling. It can be done also if the owner is using Metrash2. Print out the permit and you r ready to go.
