Qatar Labour Law and the manpower agencies
Hi,
I would like to know whether the manpower agencies in Qatar follow the labour law at all?
I've been presented with a contract where:-
1) Leave is unpaid, but earnt every 5.5months along with a airline to origin every 5.5 months.
2) ESB is not paid as the hourly rate covers it.
3) Medical is being covered by the 2nd company where the person would be working in.
I would like to know if this is at all acceptable and the norm?
Are there any legal advisor who could possibly comment or advise on this? I had read the only available labor law verion (2004) on the net which still keeps service contracts vague.
