A friend has been offered a position and is planning on relocating to Qatar. Does a previous misdemeanour offence from her home country prevent her from gaining entry to Qatar. previous post but minimal reply was given. Thanks for comment(s)
Yeah by the way I think you and your friend are the same soul with of course a single body I mean I still remember your first post. Or may be historically you both are an effective team. :)

Dont worry about legal issues. Everything will be fine. The guy I was talking about is from UK as well.. :)
oh no, definitely not CID hahahaha. yeah its for a health organisation. but she is riddled with anxiety and so its understandable for her to panic. she feels this would be frowned upon by the legal department
Just to get more confidence.. My friend's kid 32 years old was convicted for an assault and damaging a public property. It was a fight outside Restaurant. He is here for a long time... So it is time for shopping and packing stuffs. :)
Hey Mandi, no nothing like that, it was fighting in a public place but no court or conviction. almost 10 years ago actually. I advised her to get a police certificate which clearly states "no lives traces". Thanks for that. I guess am not sure how to help her proceed with this and she has done all they have asked of her.
Quite possibly. There can be no definitive answer since each case is viewed by a different official and is presented by a different employer. All I can say is that it may be worth a chance but I wouldn't quit my present job. Especially since the offense was drunk driving?

She thanks you all for your advice and comments as she reads these posts. we're keeping our fingers and toes crossed.
Holly parrot..
Dont worry about anything then.. there are people living here with something more offensive than you described. :)
It sometimes depends on the Job. Some Government Organisations involving public and social security will ask for Police clearances..
If the previous offence is minimal and her/his country allowing him to travel..then quite possibly he wont be having any problem entering Qatar. :)
If it doesn't appear on the police clearance certificate she's fine. And it shouldn't, after ten years.
