Which is better for server side programming for an e-commerce website - PHP or Perl?

Being a professional i will suggest u Peral because its more secure then PHP .and as a E.commerence side i think PERAL is the best any way if u need any kind of help regarding developing or understand some topics in both or some kind of training like that u can contact me just PM me and drope urs cell .

With PHP coming up with V. 6 and full object oriented implementation I would highly recommend PHP, I use Perl Phython and PHP for server side scripting, but for user interactive application PHP does provide the best results, especially if you are new to the language as there are loads of free scripts and howtos.

I have worked with PHP (LAMP) for 5 years before coming to Qatar and I would always recommend it.
