noc? oh, i see!

my company released me last jan 4 '09. i went back to my country and then returned here in qatar last feb 16 '09 at my own expense. it is possible because they didn't cancel my rp and its expiration date is until july '09. since then i am trying to get an noc from my former company. i already have an acceptance letter from other company, a certificate of employment from my manager stating my outstading behaviour during my service, and a letter from our project manager to our vice president requesting an noc for me. i gave these documents with an unsigned noc to our vice president but he refused to sign. his reason is unclear. he just refused to sign.

tomorrow i'll be visiting the labor office for some advice. the companies i am applying with are all requiring me to have an noc before i can be hired. still i am not loosing hope eventhough i have a room and bills to pay, i have a family back home to support, and my money right now is just enough for my one month expenses.

because of this noc... headaches, bodyaches, footaches, toothaches, pocketaches, heartaches... i have tasted them all but with no regrets.

comments or reactions, violent or not, are all wholeheartedly welcome.

You should have made sure you had the NOC before coming back, it could be a waste of money and time.

Your ex-employer is not forced in any way to give you a NOC, even if they fired you, and there's nothing you can do to force them.

You are cheating, QS. That's the telephone number that was auctioned lately. This guy can't be an asshole! And your C.R. is a bit long, I guess.

DoraTheExplorer and tallg... 2 years ban starts after RP is cancelled. the guy specified, his RP was not cancelled.

he clearly stated:'it is possible because they didn't cancel my rp and its expiration date is until july '09.'.

How authorities would know that he doesn't work with the company anymore since his RP is not cancelled?

MD.. it is so cute when every time you ask indignantly:

"What's the name of the company??".. "What's the name of the Boss??".. as if you can go and punish them...:):)

Ok, his name is Abdullah Homeini... would you able now to help joyakz?

I don't think the 2 year ban applies to all nationalities, at least not back in February.
