Need help - advice

Hello everyone,

My name is Shawn & I was under a company called vistas which is a job agency in Qatar,

I was recruited by them for one of their clients which is Mashreq bank, but after 10 months, Mashreq bank terminated us due to bank management restructure after the blockade with Dubai and gave us a letter saying that it was a bank management decision not due to our performance.

But when we spoke with vistas, the company who got us to Qatar they said they cannot give noc & they were unable to get us a job either. so, the director of the company told us that if we get a job elsewhere we can cancel our current visa & come back to Qatar. but now they refuse to cancel our contract since it's an indefinite contract that we have signed, & now we are the victims because vistas have put us in trouble..

can someone give me an advice what should I do in this situation to come back to Qatar for the job that I have.

Regards,

myviews08: I may not agree with you on this as giving NOC or denying one is completely in the hands of employers. The Labour Ministry or the Labour Court cannot assist on this matter in any way.

Reach out to the Labor Ministry with your concern! I am sure they will assist you positively as Qatari authorities appreciate the talent of the expatriates and would like to do all possible to retain the talent within the Country. I am sure they will help you with a positive solution.

I guess you will need to look for a new job as the bank cannot employ you for reasons you have stated. Since your company is not giving you NOC, you will need to come back on a new work visa under a new employer.
