looking for an assistant on a documentary
Hello to everyone,
I am actually directing a documentary about environment in Qatar (coming from France but used to live long time in Qatar), and I'm looking for sort of a cameraman to help me during my interviews.
This person will have to help me during the interviews by taking care of the camera while i'll be asking my questions. A beginner or just a passionate is OF COURSE accepted! The job is not hard at all, the camera will be on a tripod and i will explain how it works. people who are in used of digital cameras will be ok with it. the person will have to look if the camera is recording well and sometimes will have to change the plan...
I don't have for the moment the possibility to pay this person but they will "only" be like 5-6 interviews, and it could be a good experience i guess....

In my Church community, I have a lot of so-called Brothers/Sisters who are part of our own Documentation Team equipped with DSLRs and videocams with accessories.
