Leave the country for visa change

Hello There!!!

Well, I would like to share our experience (mine and my sister) on this issue of leave the country to return on Working Visa.

My sister came to Qatar on May 2014 in a Family Visit Visa, she is just graduate and was looking for a chance to improve her English (as we are no English native speakers), and if possible get a job so we can be together here.  Even if it was not easy ... after Ramadan she got a job in the same company where I'm working!!!

At the moment we were so happy, she got a good contract for a just graduate!! ... Then she was told to leave the country to change the visa and get the company's sponsorship .... no more than 2 days outside accordingly with them .... then we though "How difficult can be a working visa for a well-known engineering company" .... so, we accept and she left .... what can be wrong? ... but it was ... now 15 days since her departure :(

What was wrong? ... This is what they told me:

The company applied for her visa and it was rejected (5 days) .... then they found that their registration  (or something like that) was expired .... then with a temporary extension accordingly to them, they applied again ... waiting, waiting, waiting ... they told me the officer lost the documents and they had to send the file again (3 days)and finally in the day 13 after her departure they called me to tell me "they were in a bad situation" .... accordingly with their explanation the license of the company cannot be renewed before they finish some construction works in the building (2-3 months).

What to do now? ... well, I applied again to family visit visa ... that off course is on hold because she haven't been outside the country the minimum time for re-issue .... and tomorrow will appeal to the good willing of the officer in charge of the visas ... hopefully he will understand the situation.  In the other hand, the Visa in the other country will be finish in 5 days ... after that .... If I don’t get visa to Qatar, no job, no anything ...  go back home with just losses for all the expenses in the other country.

Now that I think back in the time, we should request them to pay her expenses there ... for sure they had not took all the time they are taken with her process!  But as many people ... skilled or not ... we were blind for the idea of get a good job and a better future!
