She has also been fined Q.R. 150,000 and her husband who witnessed the abuse but did not intervene has been sentenced to three years imprisonment.

Mullah KnoxCollege's Comments:

Interestingly recently not long ago there was the news that a Qatari Lady abused her maid and caused her death. She was given three years suspended sentence.

After reading the news, I am neither shocked nor angry. I just feel sorry, but at the moment I am having a hard time deciding to feel sorry for which one:

the Poor, helpless Maid

the Egyptain Lady who will be killed just because she is not Qatari.

or the Legal System,

or the honorable judges who seem to be very wise and can clearly differentiate between the real culprits and the accidental deaths.

Knox..accidental killing? Are we on the same page here, torturing, starving her to death , knocked teeth...

Shes supposedly revenging her sons "alleged" mistreatment? Why did she place him in the care of a stranger?Where was she whilst this is happening? Maids are like everyone else, you get good and bad? Why didnt she charge her with maltreatment of her son, If it was true she didnt deserve to die, she wouldve been punished legally. This appears to be pre meditated murder, its disgusting..

Did the Qatari lady who got 3 years, actually kill her maid? Maybe thats why she got 3 years instead...

The whole sponsorship system leaves these maids exposed to abuse in the hands of evil...
