How will Qatar take a 100% Filipino owned corporation in Qatar?

Philippines has been known all over the world to be the best source of disciplined, competent, full of initiative, highly dedicated, and creative workforce. The middle east is one of the best destination for overseas filipino workers.

But Filipinos have yet to see a succesful Filipino Business Enterprise in the Gulf. Do you have any idea why?

Local partner is the key issue. It needs at least 51/49 share.

Sad to say many filipino business in Qatar is on the restaurant...an indication that filipinos are in love with food!

As I have heard that to start a business in Qatar you must have a Local/Qatari Sponsor as a partner in the business. Also his ownership may be 49/51% of business. But this is what i have heard couple of years ago. A 100% ownership is not possible here.
