How Long does it take to clear a check in Qatar?

Last Jan 28 evening, I deposited a local check (also issued in Qatar) in my account and it's not credited to my account until now. I check with our accountant and he told me that the check has been cleared by the issuing/drawee bank last January 29th. So that means, the money is sitting in my bank and probably being used before crediting to my account. Can someone from the banking sector tell me how many days clearing should take? Thank you!
