I think you will have to find out how much the tuition cost? I don't know how old are they? My son in DESS, and his tuition i think around QR 6000 per term (reception). The older your kids you will have to fork out more of the school fees. If you are long term in Doha, please be aware of the college fees too. Seems nowadays wages increament not as fast as school fees hikes.

Agreed. You MUST have the company provide tickets for your family. All companies I know do that.

i feel you must try to get the air passges for family included in the contract at the outset itself, because if you have kids and plan on taking vacations, it is a huge expense, considering that you travel when the kids have holidays and considering the facts that ticket prices increase during peak season, not to mention the expenses you incur in your hometown.again this is personal experience, we tend to shop while on vacation for homeland stuff.

regarding the groceries, i havent mentioned eating out on weekends, if you like eating out, then keep approx 100qrs/family dinner in a reasonably priced hotel or takeaways, and you can calculate how it suits you.

by the way do you have kids.they determine quite a bit of how we spend.

hi, the basic pay seems fine, if all others are excluded.

i feel they should give you and family yearly air passage, as thats a huge pinch in the pocket when u decide to take a vacation.

regarding rest of the expenses, say 500qrs/week for grocereis, if u take 4 weeks, it would be 2000qrs, then 2000qrs/month on car loan if u take a brand new car, and want to pay the loan over 3-5years, this is for a car priced above 70000qrs, and the telephone bills, you can keep it at 1000qrs.

regarding driving license, you can use your international license here, and you can get it transferred into a qatari license, but i think you may need to pass a diring test, should not be a problem there.

this is my approximate expenditure, others may have their figures, so you can compare and decide. take care and all the best.
