Construction Industry

From what I hear from so many people and from my own experience, Main contractors are not being paid for their work. Consequently, sub contractors and vendors are also not being paid.
This holds true for some architects, consultants as well as other industries.

Something needs to be done as it is strangling the industry and has been commented on in International Construction related journals.

As the wealthiest country (per capita GDP) with huge O&G revenues, why are clients not paying for work commissioned and completed?

Payments still delayed- mostly from major clients and govmt or semi govmt organisations.

Come on Qatar- release the payments and allow all to settle their long overdue accounts!!

Please............

this is common in GCC , usually for small and medium companies manager put money in banks to get some interest and after one or two months they release the payment and wages. thats why payments are delayed.

but for big and MNC companies payments are not delayed.

However, it can impact the whole organisation and their families if the company goes out of business due to cash flow caused by non payment.

The effects of the cycle is felt more by the labourers used in the process.
