Bank .... ok, well, specifically Doha Bank
So, today.... I was sooooo excited to see an sms from the weekend showing my new ATM and Visa cards had arrived and could be picked up.
Now, I've been to the bank a few times.... knew there were que's like crazy and the whole ticketing/number thing going one... But, I proceeded to the appropriate desk to collect my cards (very happy ofcourse!) only to establish after 15 minutes... he finally finds my cards.... in all of these various 'books'. Now that was one thing... but then it came time to find the PIN. That in itself took 45 minutes for him to go to various books, look through other stacks, going to the Deputy Bank Manager (because the other bank manager who I actually had a few meetings with because of my companies biz needs and had actually bonded with was now no longer with Doha Bank!!!), blah blah blah. After all of this, I get informed the PIN is missing. The pin is missing! I was actually too tired to care (physically and also of getting eyed by every male in there who apparently has never seen a tall blonde in their lives!).
The guy proceeds to write down my name and # on a sheet (that had A LOT of other names and #'s which worried me even more!) and said he would call me back.
Ok, I am officially venting about Doha bank.... this is wrong because perhaps its not entirely indicative of how they do business as a whole but at that moment and actually now as I write this, its a source of contention. Perhaps it wasn't the smartest thing to try and attempt this during Ramadan either!
Basically - avoid Doha Bank on C Ring! If Im wrong and others have had great experiences.... I'm clearly the isolated incident.
