Dear Friends,

Let me know, how many day leaves you offered for eid. Is it because I offered only two days, but it should be three working days doesn’t it?
See below, according to Qatar labor low it should be three working days. Why they are not giving three working days.

Article (78)
The worker shall be entitled to annually, leave with full wage as follows:
1. Three working days for Eid EI-Fitr
2. Three working days for Eid Al-Adha
3. One working day for the Independence day
4. Three working days to be specified by the employer.
If the circumstances of the work require the employment of the worker during any such
leave days the provisions of article (75) of this law shall be applied to him.

I thought to write here is it because we are working try harder but the companies are stealing our rights.

As it's mentioned up there

If the circumstances of the work require the employment of the worker during any such

leave days the provisions of article (75) of this law shall be applied to him.

Please read the article (75) hereunder

Article (75)

The worker shall be allowed of a weekly paid rest which shall not be less than twenty-four consecutive hours and Friday shall be the weekly rest day for all workers with the exception of the shift workers. If the circumstances of the work necessitate the employment of the worker during the rest day the worker shall be compensated for the rest day by another day, and shall be paid for working that day the wage payable to him for the ordinary weekly rest day or his basic wage plus an increase of not less than 150%.

With the exception of shift workers a worker shall not be required to work more than two consecutive Fridays.

Conclusion:

He can ask you to work for the third day, but he should pay it as 150% of your basic wage

If they won't give you 3 days...ask them for compensation, either 1 day will be added to you VL or pay you accordingly...check with your HR

yes u r right. most of the small companies are stealing our rights. in order for them to save money for their own pocket, us the poor workers have to work hard for them. we have to come early and stay late at the office. if it can be, they will let us stay 24 hours at the office. and u dont have the freedom to speak for yourself. these incident usually happens in qatar.
