Architecture company
Hello,
My name is Teodora, i am an architect from Romania and i worked in Qatar since april 2009 to august 2009 for a company called XXXXXX. If they ever get a job offer from them, please refuse it, because they dont pay the salary and make you wait with lies and false promises. They payed my first salary, and then they act like they forget until you ask for your money. The boss is called XXXXXX. He still owes me 5500 euros, and is been almost 2 years now. This thing happened before and all the people left, without the money, that is why when we arrived there there were just a few people working in the office. They find people from East Europe and Sud-America, who dont win to much in their countries, and then after a while they stop to pay, but still ask for work, saying they are your friends and everything will be solved, bla bla bla.
So whatever you do, never accept to work with XXXXXX.
Why are they still operating? They must be blacklisted!!!
i just applied for an architecture job at this company ( mayan design)... are they not good? they said they are moving and to wait a month for a response - should i believe them?
are they fraudsters ? what is the issue with them ? please help me i am worried now.

Hi i just applied for an Architecture job at Mayan Design - but now i am worried, please tell me are they a bad company? what were the issues, should i just disconnect from association?
I must thank the Qatar Living forums. A few weeks ago, an employee of Mayan Design contacted me and resolved my payment and to this day, my situation with Mayan Design has been solved. I hope this helps people with such problems.
I regret having to use this forum, but today is the only outlet I have, to prevent these people keep doing this kind of business.
I worked while Teodora and other architects, is an equal situation. We canott denounce in the ministry of labor, to Mayan Design, because they use the experience they have in manipulating the laws of Qatar, and the work of the people.
Until a year ago, still received emails from Salvador Nakanishi, promising to pay me my wages delinquent (8 500 euros), in exchange for him not to publish online any of his tricks, for architectural projects to major customers (and according to threats), which could affect my life today.
I like Salvador Nakanishi, I'm Mexican. And all the time it has lasted this problem, I tried to reach an agreement and a good end of the employment relationship. Among his tricks was to retain my passport, do not pay me my salary, asking me to travel to Bulgaria to continue working for him and so, solve their financial problems. In Bulgaria, left me without a visa, money or any way I can claim my fees (contract), i was fired with out some explanation. With the help of my family in México, I return to my country and continue my life.
I'm not the only architect involved in this and previous deceptions. We get contact and after then we can recover the economic and emotional stability are determined to let people know what is happening in Mayan Design and do not believe in doing business with this people.I hope that this forum will serve to Qatar authorities, review the activity of Mayan Design.
@Mr. M: My intention is not to be curteos, is to stop this from ever happening again to other people and how i can do this if i dont say the name of the company and the manager? And with this i say little...they should be glad i dont say the adress too and the names of other people who were involved...and the projects...
@cinfin: you are totally right, the thing is i could not leave the country after the first time they didnt pay, for material reasons, and also because i belived the lies of those people. I tried to do something about this, we decided that we stop to work and also make some complaint and in the last minute my coworkers backed off and leave me to confront alone the situation.
What good will a complaint to Ministry of Labour do?
Don't tell me that they aren't aware of all the employee exploitation & harassment that goes on here.
what a stupid company!!I think you shouldnt have continued working after the first time they didnt pay you you shouldnt work for free for those losers I think you should complain about them and close their business.
Teodora it would have a lot better and a lot more courteous if you didn't mention the name of your manager nor the name of that company here in a public forum,i understand your frustrations,but you should file a complain at the Ministry of Labour.I hope your problem is solved soon.
