19K - is it enough?

Hi

I'm supposed to move to Qatar, Doha soon. My salary will be 19K + medical insurance.

My question is: is this salary enough for decent life for 2 people? I wanna find a 1BR apartment (funrished?) with access to a pool. Is this possible considering the salary?

Also what about taxis in Doha? Is it like Dubai, so taxis are kinda everywhere? Or you have to call them and wait?

Thanks in advance

already mentioned above

it depends on your lifestyle now or how big your family are?

If you are careful enough, this is a good salary for 2 people in Doha. Cheers

If you hold a western passport, a salary of even 50K will not keep you happy. However, if you are from Asia or Africa, it would allow you to live comfortably, and also leave you with some savings.

A 1BR apartment in a nice area with a swimming pool would cost you up to QR7,000 - that leaves enough for a very comfortable lifestyle in Qatar - but perhaps not enough if you wish to be saving...

For taxis, you get Karwa which is cheap but hard to find - and Uber and Careem which are app-based and a bit more expensive...

1BHK furnished flat with pool is not less than 7K...

Dear 19k is ok but not very good.... U can't effort more than 1 bhk, the cost of 1 bhk in Ezdan will be around 3500 n if u want to take in city area then will be about 5000 in some areas the cost of one 1 bhk is above 14000. U can choose Barwa city which is having very decent studio for 2500 also.

Taxi is not freely available like in Dubai but u can call n wait for hours to get the one...
