Attempt to enter Qatar on forged visa fails!
A man from the Indian state of Bihar was arrested last week at the airport for attempting to fly to Qatar using a forged visa.
He was caught by the immigration officials when he could not satisfactorily answer questions on the purpose of his visit. When the documents were scanned, it was discovered the visa was forged. The accused person had a forged work-visa while he claimed that he was going to Qatar to meet his brother who worked there.
The lawyer of the accused stated his client had been referred to a travel agent in Mumbai which had provided him with the forged visa and instructed him to tell the immigration authorities that he was going to work in Qatar. The accused is now in judicial custody.
Sometime back, a lady also from India, had the misfortune of getting her certificates and documents attested by an agent in her country. It turned out that the attestations done were fake. The lady was arrested and jailed for forgery. Was it her fault? The question can be argued both ways.
In both cases, it is the victim who suffers in the end as they have no means to verify what they have paid for is not genuine. Crooks are crooks and those in this game of cheating people do not leave any footprints of their criminal activities. Governments in countries where such incidents take place should take severe action against such unscrupulous agents who knowingly play with the lives of simple people --- just for the quick, easy cash.
