
Qatar Chamber aims to be Global Business Hub by 2030

Qatar Chamber has officially launched its 2025-2030 strategy, outlining a comprehensive roadmap focused on resource sustainability and service development to align with digital transformation and evolving economic trends.
The strategy foresees positioning Qatar as a global strategic hub for the private sector, making it the premier destination for business. Its core mission is to support and advocate for the Qatari private sector both locally and internationally, safeguarding its interests and fostering economic growth.
Strategic objectives and key initiatives HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Chamber, emphasized that the strategy is built upon six key objectives :
1. Developing the business environment,
2. Supporting, and encouraging SMEs and entrepreneurs.
3. Transforming the Chamber into a global hub for communication and influence
4. Advancing into a digital economy.
5. Establishing the Chambers's positive image by improving performance.
6. Achieving financial sustainability.
Empowering SMEs and Entrepreneurs to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the strategy includes :
1. Establish a specialized department for feasibility and market studies
2. Create an entrepreneurship development center in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
3. set up a dedicated body within the Chamber to oversee innovation and SMEs.
4. Develop an innovation index in collaboration with a specialized consultancy.
5. Launching a platform to explore investment opportunities featuring government investment projects, international investment prospects, and funding-seeking ventures.
The chamber aims to foster a more attractive investment climate by :
1. Reviewing business-related laws and regulations
2. Reinforcing the Chambers's role as a link between the government and the private sector
3. Promoting public-private partnerships.
As for the transition to a digital economy, the strategy focuses on :
1. digitizing all services and leveraging AI for daily operations within the Chamber
2. establish a Qatari e-marketing platform that connects the Arab world with global markets
3. provide a reliable gateway to business, services, and consultations.
Expanding Global reach and business connectivity, the chamber is set to leverage its international network by :
1. Create the largest electronic marketing platform for the Arab private sector, like Alibaba and Amazon.
2. Establishment of a company by the Chamber to transform the platform into a commercial project that generates revenue for the Chamber.
3. Organizing an annual consultative meeting with HE the Prime Minister and ministers.
Developing the skills and competencies of workers in the Qatari private sector by :
1. organizing monthly meetings with business owners.
2. Support and promote women participation by activating the role of the Qatari Businesswomen's Forum.
3. support companies' investments in training their employees and organizing field visits to companies and factories to identify challenges and propose solutions.
4. expand the private sectors engagement in activities of the ICC-Qatar.
5. Attract international companies to the Qatari market.
6. Organize forums and meetings to enhance communication between the local and international business community.
The strategy outlined that, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber would collaborate with embassies and commercial attaches abroad to establish commercial representation offices at the new Chamber headquarters in Lusail City. This initiative aims to attract foreign investment to Qatar, improve the business environment, promote Qatar’s investments abroad, and advance the digital economy.
The strategy also aims to enhance the Chambers image by improving its performance. This includes employing skilled Qatari professionals, implementing a new strategy for the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA), expanding the Research and Studies Department with additional expertise, and strengthening the Exhibitions Department to organize exhibitions and conferences. Furthermore, it focuses on developing the Training Department and establishing new divisions to facilitate the strategy’s implementation.
