Pearl or West Bay for 34 yo Male Expat? Which one is better?

Hi all! I am moving to Doha very soon and will stay in a hotel for 1 month. Then I need to find a place (Studio or 1 bedroom apartment) to stay on my own.

When I checked on Google Maps, from my office, West Bay says 13,9 km - 22 mins and the Pearl says 19,7 km - 28 mins. So West Bay seems a better option based on the location but the difference is so low. (6 km - 6 mins)

Some of people whom I know are living in the Pearl but they stated that it's likely for couples rather than singles. Considering night life and fun, which one is better? Any comment would be wonderful! :)

Now my suggestion is to stay in WB ...... You will love it, there is no limit on the fun, really ..............

What type of "fun" are you looking for in Doha? If my guess is correct, you may be heading for some disappointments young man.
