Eid prayer times and other important information
Eid prayer, also known as Salat al-Eid, is the special prayer offered to commemorate the two Islamic festivals which are Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.
Eid Al-Fitr is celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Adha is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah which is the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.
This year Eid Al-Adha will be noted on the 24th of September.
The time of Salat al-Eid begins when the sun reaches approximately two meters above the horizon until it reaches its meridian before Dhuhr.
The timing for Eid prayer will be 5:38am.
Adhering to the Sunnah, the time for Eid al-Fitr prayer is delayed and Eid al-Adha prayer is hastened, so as to facilitate distribution of Fitrah before the Eid al-Fitr prayer and offer sacrifice after the Eid al-Adha prayer.
Concerning the Adhan and Iqamah for Salat al-Eid, Ibn al-Qayyum writes: "When the Prophet (Peace be upon him) went to the place of prayer, he would perform the salat without any adhan or iqamah.
The Eid prayers are usually conducted in a place just meant for them.
It is usually a public place that isn't used as a mosque at other times of the year.
The prayer will be held at 296 mosques and prayer grounds in various areas of Qatar, including 33 mosques and places reserved for women.
Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) advises prayer-goers to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion and to park their cars properly.
Greetings from the inner core of my heart ...................... ..................
Happy Eid to one and all. May your day be filled with joy and happiness
While we celebrate and enjoy this day, please donot forget that we need to stop the fight among Brothers.
War is not the option...All are Brothers ...whether Yemeni, Saudi, Qatari, Bahraini...
Please donot kill .
What happens is civillians are injured and even those who donot want to fight against the coalition begins to fight because their family members have been killed by coalition in accident.
Fear Allah...
Nobody have right to kill his Muslim Brother..
Whether he is Shia or Sunni..
He is your bother ...His Prophet is Muhammed and his God is Allah.
Scholars from Sunni and Shia should meet to find a solution...
By Allah, This war will bring disaster only...nothing Good.
Taqabbal Allah Minna wa Minkum (may Allah accept it from you and us)
