Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition 2017 opens for a six-day event today
The 14th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) opens its doors to the public today. Over 400 renowned international brands from 10 different countries, along with emerging local jewellery designers, will display their finest work including special editions and unique pieces at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) in West Bay.
The theme of this year’s luxurious, one-of-a-kind exhibition is ‘Once upon a time…luxury’ and will be open to the public till Saturday, February 25, 2017. The DWJE2017 will take you on a journey to the very heart of a glamorous tale in which exclusivity, beauty, art, legacy and unique craftsmanship strive and combine to tell the unforgettable story behind each jewel. Some of Qatar’s finest jewellery patrons which comprise of Ali Bin Ali group,Al Fardan Jewellery Company, Al Muftah Jewellery, Al Majed Jewellery , Amiri Gems, Fifty One East and Blue Salon will be part of the DFWE this year.
The exhibition will host some new features for enthusiasts of jewellery and premium timepieces from around the world, alongside heritage brands on show and besides the exclusive Central Exhibition that will showcase rare, unique and privately-owned jewellery and time pieces. World famous Parisian clock-experts, Objectif Horlogerie, will hold hands-on watch-making workshops for the very first time at this unmissable exhibition. DWFE 2017 will also be showcasing the distinctive collections of emerging local talent under the title of ‘Young Qatari Designers’ as a new feature of the exhibition, states The Peninsula.
The Harcourt Studio will also be at the DFWE 2017 and will offer visitors to the exhibition complimentary black and white portraits, within their photo studio on-site.
The DJWE 2017 has been organized by the Qatar Tourism Authority and delivered by Auditoire. Visitors can register at DECC or online at www.djwe.qa. Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge and minimum age requirement for entry 12.
