5 ways to beat the heat this summer on a budget

Summers are hot in Qatar.  Better yet, summers are hot and long in Qatar.  In order to survive not being able  to be outside much during sunlight, we need to find creative ways to keep busy and keep happy.  

Below is a brief list.  Nothing ultimately new, but now is as a good time as ever to be reminded of the various options we have available. No more moaning and whining, time to go out and enjoy! 

1. Now is a great time to get some cultural exposure. Visit Qatar's museums, whether it's at the Museum of Islamic Art or Mathaf in Education City. Not only will you learn about the cultural heritage of the region, you can enjoy the experience in state of the art architecture.

2. Spend an entire day at Aqua Park Qatar for 100QR per child and 120QR per adult. With many different attractions, from unlimited rides to restaurants, it's the ideal way to spend a summer day.

3. Get moving this summer at Hamad Aquatic Center in Aspire Zone Sports City, at only 35QR per entry for adults and 25QR for children. This is your chance to enjoy the futuristic water complex and escape the heat with friends and family, while keeping active.

4. With so many hotels in Doha offering special summer promotions in Doha, grab a day pass and spend a relaxing day by the pool with your family. Use this time to de-stress by catching up on some reading with an iced drink in your hand to keep you cool.

5. Visit Doha Festival City before the 29th of July between 3-9pm, for various fun activities for your kids. Enjoy a day indoors going through the Amazing Maze, Pirate Bowling, taking part of the Seaside Works of Art Workshop and the Building Block Blast for your toddlers too.
