Return visa procedure

Hello
Can someone advise the procedure to issue a return visa, my family stayed outside qatar more than 6 months and hence required to have a return visa issued as per the airport officials, i tried to issue on Metrash2 under the option "Issue return visit visa" and did not succeed.
Is it the same process if family is out of Qatar for more than 1 year and RP expiry date has not crossed?

If your family has valid residence visa you can apply for return visa through Metrash 2.The procedure is as below:
1. Login in Metrash 2
2. Select leave notification.
3. Click Return permit
4. Enter QID number & select return permit from drop-down menu.
5.Pay the fees through credit card.
The process is completed,the receipt will be emailed to you if you have registered.Cheers!!!
you cannot apply 'return permit or re-entry visa' for family visit visa if the holder/s are out of qatar,
