Resignation during business Visa to 2 year work visa/RP conversion
By MohanSharma •
Hi,
I have joined a company with business/work visa(3 months validity). Company is planning to convert my Visa into 2 year work Visa and take RP. I want to quit this job. I have a month notice period as per my contract. My business Visa will expire in 3 weeks. Please suggest me the way:
1) Resignation: Will there be a problem that my company won't let me go in one month. Will there be reasons with RP (getting and cancelling) as it will take time. And to cancel RP I need to cancel my bank accounts?? How many days these will take??
2) Say emergency and go.
Please suggest me on this.
Regards,
Mohan
Hi Mohan,
If you are still on Business Visa and your RP process has not been initiated yet, then you can resign and go back home country. Usually the notice period is of one month.
The company has no rights to stop you going back. If in case your PRO tells you something, ask him in writing. I am sure they will not give you anything in writing.
If in case after resignation and serving notice period, the company stops you from exit, you can contact Ministry and apply for exit permit which they will process in no more than 3 days(72 hours).
Hope this helps.
