Hi I submitted for my Family RP 2 weeks before, document were verified by them(at gharafee) at the counter. But still shows under review. My Salary is above 15k. Later when I enquired last week they told captain is only leave.

@By Bee Zed.....this is on arival visa u can come any number of time inside qatar there is no restriction because this is (tourist kind of visa)....only family visit visa has problem once u exit qatar than the person he/she cannot come inside 180 days...

by this wat i understood is.....if u r any visa application is approved than visitor should come and exit qatar or the visa expired date should finish then u can submit new visa application for same person & If it is rejected than it is not possible to apply new application for same person so u need to visit (gharaffa main branch only to change this status)

family visit can be applied without cancelling family resident,

if you attached documents correctly no need to go there, if you have doubts you can visit and know the status, but generally now a days they are taking 2-3 weeks to issue visa or reject

brother you go directly to Gharaffa immigration , show your family resident visa application paper at the entrace (2 months old). then go to gate 1 reception with your visit visa application and take token thats it u will get approval.

Usually at the entrance there will be officers who check visit visa application date and dont allow people who applied witin 21 working days .

no need to cancel your family resident visa application let it be under review. u can parallely apply for family visit visa.

My Friend visited Gharaffa immigration today morning for visit visa extension beyond 3 months. In the reception they have not issued the token, instead they directed him to meet caption. when my friend meet the captain he scanned his QID and said no more extension.

Regarding Family resident visa after it showed the status rejected & comment "refer immigration" today i visited Gharaffa Immigration dept. at entrance gate itself security ask what purpose and salary. when i said 12k he said now visa not doing for below 15k......so somehow i done gimic & entered visa section gate 3....at the reception he said same after i request many time and i told the my salary may be 12k but office is providing accomadation, food & transportation all to gether it will reach above 15k he simply replied that "captain will see bank statement, are u r statement shows 15k if not then it is not allowed to speak with him"......I applied in july for family resident visa for the first time after staying, working 6 years in qatar i regret myself.

Yes, You can do that. I did the same thing, Once your family arrived over her you can go to immigration counter ask officer to transfer it at the end of on arrival visa.

Applied family visit visa for both on 15.10.21 .. visa status was under process for 1 week so 21.10.21 I went to immigration office gharafa in reception they ask to come next week.. so I again went on 27.10.21 in reception again he asked me to come next week but I said this is what you said last week after my request he gave token .. in the counter after checking my applications the person approved my son visa on spot 27.10.21 and for my wife he said it will take 4 days but I got approval next day itself 28.10.21. Now it’s showing 3 months extension for both .. All the best for you all friends …

First you need to get approval for family visit visa then go to garaffa immigration gate nos.01 to meet the captain, Tell that officer that you have approved family visa and wanna covert on arrival visa to family visa, He will do that later you need to pay 500 Qr.

I want to share with you all about visa my experience, Initially I applied family residence visa but didn't get approval. So that I thought of to go family visit visa but that too shows under process for long time so i left everything and called my wife on arrival visa after her arrival i got family visa approval then I transferred arrival visa to family visit and its valid for 3 months only. Now any buddy could help me out for visa extension further?

Note: If you are waiting for family visa approval don't wait go for arrival visa later you can transfer it with fee 500QR

@ Jitiner & @ garilee16.....looks like you both recently applied and i guess even @Jitiner family are inside qatar came in family visit visa...this might be the case that qatar is not considering people who already came in visit visa and can't be converted RP, so only they rejected i guess....

Hi @ Jitiner, normally captian will not reject u r application like that if u r eligible for Family RP, check with them why they rejected, because i visited 3days back gharaffa and in reception itself they checked my RP and told to come next month because they are now processing 15k above now and before they where doing for 20k above, so next slab with be 10k above may be in october mid it should open

Today I went to Garaffa office as my request was under review from last one week. I met he captain and he rejected my request saying that the salary is not more than QAR 15000.

In Metrash the status is showing rejected and in the comment mention as refer to immigration department.

Moph reduced quarantine from 10 days to 2 days but i couldn't see in moph website. But in Ethraz pre-approval they have mentioned like this.

I am from India & I have issued Family Visit Visa, but Bcoz of Unvaccinated kids For the red countries they are not allowing kids to enter into Qatar. my family was on Mumbai airport and at last moment while approving the Ehteraz Pre registration they Rejected and mentioned that unvaccinated minors are not allowed to enter into qatar even if u have visa, 10 days quarantine, RTPCR done with negative result, althought if you have boarding pass they will not allow without Ehteraz Pre Registration.

Please don't waste Your money for Visa, Quarantine and Tickets and all as it is very difficult to take refund from discover Qatar as is taking too long to process and even if it is not cancelled before 14 days may be it will not refund. for ticket also they will deduct 30% so any way its loss for me, no body will return that amount. kindly think twice before u are issuing family visit visa for your family with unvaccinated kids for Red list countries.

you can not share quarantine any more. its is per person basis not per room basis. if you have valid visa please book your hotel asap. otherwise is big difficult to get hotel booking.

I am consultant in one of the govt company in Qatar. Last week I visited garaffa to check on my resident visa application.

Caption asked mine salary certificate, NOC, last month pay slip.

He informed for family resident visa below are the

Criteria:

1. 15k salary

2. NOC from company

3. Salary pay slip

If you have these 3 document + other documents related to resident visa for sure you will get it.

He returned my request in metrash to upload pending documents like NOC and salary certificate.

I requested him to cancel my applicantion. So I can apply the visit visa to process quickly.

I applied visit visa next day and I went to garaffa gate 1. I took token and went to counter they verified my documents and informed me to check after two days

Documents asked at counter :Application receipt, QID, MY passport, marriage certificate.

Next day my application status updated to ready to print.

In that case what will be quarantine process.

whether hotel quarantine will be for 2 days or 10 days if RP holder go and pick family from india.

friends i spoke to 109 , and they informed visit visa kids are allowed provided they r accompanied by RP holding parent anyone , it means if u have RP go to india bring both of them. this is only way bring your child in qatar . red zone country including india. i got for 109 service . if u need conformation u can also double check same services.

Someone confirm me whether updating "Electronic contract copy in MOI is mandatory for applying any visa. Still my electronic contract is not updated.

Hi all.,i got Visa No. for family visit visa..!!!

I had applied family visit visa on 8th Aug through Matrash with all documents, after 2 days i visited immigration and officer told me come after 2 weeks as they are processing old application.

Again i visited last Thursday 12th Aug evening around 4.30 pm, there are only few peoples in gate 1 and i got token very easily and in the counter officer checked my uploaded documents and approved on the spot and in matrash i can see the Visa no.

Any one applied visit visa with proper documents, i suggest visit immigration in the evening time.

Document required for visit visa :

1. Marriage Certificate - I'm not sure attestation is mandatory or not but i uploaded attested certificate.

2. Travel Insurance - i purchased online with QIC...https://www.qic-insured.com/Online/TravelInsurance.do it will cost 340 QR for 6 months for 1 month it will be 170 QR.

3. Inbound & outbound ticket

4. Passport Copy.

because moph red list guidlines for visit visa says only this "There is no exception for unvaccinated children coming traveling from red listed countries "

it doesnt say "entry not allowed" , it says only "there is no exception"

At the moment as per moph unvaccinated childrens(technically not possible to get vaccination for children below 12 years) not allowed entry from red + other 6 countries.

No way, for those 6 countries including India the existing rules + new rules apply.

So, 2 quarantine if vaccinated in qatar for rp holders and 10 days quarantine for moph approved vaccinated visitors and also 10 day quarantine for those with rp unvaccinated/partially vaccinated/vaccinated outside qatar.

Regarding entry of children, childrens have started to get visa's. If anyone gets ehteraz pre-registration authorization for children then only we can say they are allowed or not. At the moment as per moph unvaccinated childrens(technically not possible to get vaccination for children below 12 years) allowed entry from red + other 6 countries.

Good news for families (i suppose)

Qatar moph has removed India/SriLanka/Pakistan/Bangladesh etc (those 6 countries) from their "Red List countries" and these countries are not in any other lists also (yellow or green)

so for the people travelling with infants or kids there was a rule/guide which said for red list countries "There is no exception for unvaccinated children coming traveling from red listed countries" and it was so confusing too wether we can travel with infants or not in visit visas.

Now as they have removed these 6 countries from their "Red list" we are not coming under "Red list guidlines"

we (all 6 countries) has a seperate guidline from Qatar moph which says "Those vaccinated/recovering from COVID-19 in the State of Qatar are subject to a two-day hotel quarantine and are allowed to leave the hotel on the second day if the result of the PCR test is negative.

The rest of the people are subject to a hotel quarantine for a period of 10 days."

here they dont talk about Kids and all, they say rest of other people (means all other, wether kids or infants or elders) needs 10 days quarantine.

so as my understanding and finding we can travel with kids without issues. and hope they will clear the confusion about quarantine (which is still not sure if we get fully vaccinated by moph approved vaccines outside qatar it is 2 days or 10 days)

***Note - this is per as my understanding and findings and i post this to give you a hope so you can search and confirm about this. please do your home works before proceeding anything...

Hi all., I applied family visit visa with all documents (travel insurance, both way tickets, etc,) through matrash on 8 Aug 2021.

Today morning 7 Am i visited the immigration gate 1 to check the status. If matrash status is Under Process or Under review, they are not allowing to meet the captain and they told to go through reception.

There was a long que for getting token in the reception, i stand in the que wait for my turn. Finally the officer in the reception saw my application date and told me to come after 2 weeks.

What i understood they are issuing token for the applications applied minimum 2 ~ 3 weeks ago.

If anyone managed to meet the caption or get the token within 1 week of application., please advise.

As you are vaccinated with covishield, its a bit tricky situation even if you stay in other countries and I am not sure whether quarantine is required or not.

Regarding kids entry, even if you get visa and still come from red countries they will be denied entry.

The thing is that only after getting ehteraz pre-registration authorization, one's travel to qatar is guaranteed!!!

I went to Garaffa today, they are saying even if you get Visa number, means its under CID approval, that may take from a week to a month, please advise, what is true and what is not, its a confusing situation all over in terms of Visa.

I Just called to MOPH hotline no 16000, they have told me that, fully vaccinated inside Qatar must go 2 days quarantine.

Fully vaccinated with MOPH approved vaccine outside Qatar i'e IN, PK, PH, SL, BL, NP, must go 10 days hotel quarantine.

This rule is applicable for only these 6 countries.

For other countries General Policy applicable as per red, yellow & green category.

@faru, Yeah that makes sense.. I hope that final decision is taking by moph and even the final approval will be given for ehtheraz by moph.

So i hope they will approve kids also. Because there is no reason why infants cant travel to qatar when there is no any vaccinations for them and they will be coming with a negative PCR and even after landing there will be one more PCR and again after 2 days one more PCR will be there even for kids, so there is no any sensible reason not to allow infants and kids, and may be that is the reason they have not mentioned as "entry not allowed" but said "there will be no exception"

So i hope as a quality public health government body, they will approve infants with fully vaccinated parents.

And to confirm that, is there anyone who got the visas and got the final approval from ehtheraz for their kids?

The thing is that when you call those numbers, each person will say different different things. So, if you get reply by mail atleast you have a proof. And ultimately no one will be allowed to board the flight unless or untill he has the ehteraz pre-registration authorization!!!

Yeah i heard that some got replys on hukoomi as entry not allowed, but the moph doesnot say entry not allowed.

The thing is lotof misunderstanding going over here with the word "exception"

Moph clearly say there is no exception (the meaning of it is there will be no special permission or chances)

Even some of embassies has said entry not allowed. But when called to 109 or 16000 they say entry is allowed for kids for some people.

Even in the last update on August 12, there is a misconception, people say only vaccinated inside qatar have 2 days quarantine and others need 10 days quarantine.

But the thing is it should be 2 days quarantine for everyone who is fully vaccinated with moph approved vaccines (because wherever you get vaccination its going to be same bit to bit. If you take pfizer, its same in qatar and its same in india also, so it should be fine)

@By samlawrence : I have checked that already but when i enquired with QA and with 109 they were saying it is allowed and but it has not been published anywhere.

From 109/16000 They said that infants can follow the same regime as mother and hotel quarantined for 2 days coming from india if fully vaccinated with Qatar approved vaccines.

@vamsiparimisetti - If you check in the travel and return policy of MOPH in group B it is clearly given for the red country children. i.e. There is no exception for unvaccinated children coming traveling from red listed countries. Hope i am clear to you. Soon things will turn it out. Hope for the best.

They don’t even check documents or issue token.

If you want to apply for visits visa they will cancel first residence visa application from the system.

Even visit visa they are not sure how long it will take for approval.

Guys any body got approved with less then 20000 QAR Salary please let us know.

I went to immigration dept gate 1 today, was very hard to get a token as the receptionist rejected many people with same request saying to come after 3 weeks.

But luckily I got a token , when I went to counter the clerk verified the documents I have uploaded in the system and said it’s under process.

Now I have a visa number, but the status is still under process and no option for fee payment available yet.

I went yesterday, at the main gate you need to show QID & ehteraz. Once you enter you can see Gate no 1 on the left side. You should head towards reception for token. Just tell him you had applied visit visa 2 weeks back, and want to know status. He will issue token. Go to the counter & hand over QID, just take documents in case, but they dint asked me. They will inform whether it is approved or not. Once it is approved you can get visa number displayed in metrash

I had uploaded travel insurance taken from Qic. Thats fine.

You can go anytime, sun to thurs before 5pm

@azaarshad: this is for the Family Visit Visa, even i have applied to family visit visa, i would suggest you to go to Immigration Garaffa , Gate number 1, and meet the captain, they will advise you, atleast they will tell you if visa is approved or not, for me the captain confirmed that visa is approved and i have to wait for ready to print option, and i got visa number also Masha Allah Alhamdulillah.

My friend visited Gharaffa Immigration today and somehow managed to speak with captain. The Captain told they are processing Family RP for 15 K above salary applicants, below 15 K may be from Sept.

All the visitors (including Family RP holders) who vaccinated outside Qatar, must go 10 days hotel quarantine as per new rules.

Hello, my family visa was submitted and is currently under process. I am wondering if it is best to come on a tourist visa with my kids and then go out when my family visa is approved. I am thinking about this option because my country was a green country and since yesterday the country is yellow. If we go red I will be stuck in France because my kids are too young to be vaccinated. FYI my husband is working for a petroleum company.

@yusuf2018 you should be concerned about securing an approval firstly. Not worrying about the Quarantine cost implication. With the latest news, Unvaccinated Visitors(Family visit, Tourist and business visa) not welcomed in Qatar.

Yesterday after 12PM they have changed missing documents for only 2 missing things (1)Travel inbound and Outbound , 2) Travel Insurance)...

However I am able to purchase Travel insurance from QIC (https://www.qic-insured.com/Online/TravelInsurance.do) they charged me around 360 QAR (after discount) for 2 person and duration 60 days also some discount will be offer if purchase online. post getting travel insurance and ticket I have uploaded the same in metrash2...current status is Under process .ill update once visa will be approve.

Note : While uploading document make sure image size is less than 200 KB or else it will not accept, I have faced this issue and after doing so much modification finally image was successfully uploaded.

It's not permissible to issue an entry visa without a valid Health insurance. The decision was taken in March,2021 and for the Return tickets attachment I can't tell reason behind it.

For family Visit visa, documents requirement has been changed based on Qatar's Recent Law.

All visitors to obtain travel insurance which can be get from online. it will cost upto 400 QR for 6 months stay, or may be less depends on duration of stay.

Regarding ticket, in matrash we need to upload 2way tickets, i dont know the logic behind this.

And dependent visa i think it's Sponsor QID, i'm not sure.

I hv been visiting MoI gharaffa for so many times. My family visa application was applied in Dec 2020 and to this date it shows under review. I told the officer in receiption to allow me to talk to the captain, may be the captain will understand the position bcoz my application is already applied and is on system.

But the officer in receiption was very rude and he makes me felt like i am begging for something which i dont deserve. He was very arrogant and disrespectful.

Meanwhile, can any one who is influential can plz check if the family resident visa for indians is going to open anytime soon?

I did check with few of my friends who are infulentian and they told soon it will be open. Problem is tjis soon is being told from 8 months

I was following this forum for the past couple of months.I wish to share my experience regarding this and it will be helpful for at least someone, who is working in govt sector..I was trying to get family visa from last Dec and also i am working in govt sector .This is just to inform everybody that family visa is already open for govt employees. I saw applications from Hamad employees and other govt sectors they are accepting applications. I applied last week manually and after 10 days I received approval msg in metrash. At the same time visit visa is not opened even for govt employees.And for the private sector so far nothing.I hope they will open for private sector very soon. I wish everyone good luck and stay safe.

I have been following this visa update forum since the beginning but I didn’t comment anything or updated it whenever I visited the MOI office for a visa update( So far I have been visited MOI for visa update nearly 10 to 15 times). But today the way policemen reacted I felt bad.

I visited MOI today for a Visa update but again the same answer still visas not open for Private sectors employee. Even though if you are working in Govt sectors through private companies no visa opened. I told him many families are struck bcoz of this and we have been waiting for visa updates to unite with families and ready to comply with all govt rules and afford hotel quarantine at any cost then why govt is not giving visas for private-sector employees?

I got a rude reply to my question from the police gentlemen: “why you are standing here, I already told you there is no visa for the private sector, and check the newspaper for family visa news then come here. Additionally, he said this year private sector family visa may not be opened, you may go”.

I became angry at the way he replied to me and on the other side, I felt bad emotionally that I am begging him for the visa thing. Even I have all the required documents with me and my salary has eligible to bring the family but nothing helps out.

Anyhow, at least one person from this group got his family visa approved. Good luck brother @syed1981.

had Visited Immigration (Ghrafa) of Thursday (14.1.2021) at gate 03 they told that family RP shall be opened in June. :(

But outside agents are telling Feb it will be open as have certain source of info.

My husbamd visited immigration today 10.1.21...Visited gate 1 and gate 3...From gate 1 they said after 15 days they will open.I font know how much is that true bcoz since sept am hearing this.

Hi, I was applied, my wife and son's family visit visa on Fab 2020, and the visas approved by MOI and payment have done, but they don't travel to Qatar due to Covid '19 issue. Flights are suspended. Now, almost 11 months ago. I checked in my visa status page all visas date expired, but still shown "Valid to Use" Today, i had visited MOI Gharrafa and i have been informed that visas has been expired and i have to re-apply again. I would request you all please guide me in this regard for further...........

Mr.Boominathan,your family visit visa is stll valid on use, just extend by metrash2, or hukoomi portal. If you find difficult, just take the help of typing center.

1 week before I submit family residency visa is accept. But now showing deferred. Today I have visited immigration at Gharafa . They have told us that Family RP is open for govt sectors only . Private sector so far no update they said .

I went today to gharaffa immigration and they again told that family residency is still on hold for private company employees.

My wife and son is with me in Qatar but still they are not processing.

My wife is on business visa and son born last month in qatar only.

My company is saying that they cannot extend my wife's visa from next month.

Any suggestions what to do.

hi everyone, today i went to ghrafa and sadly they asked to come and check after 3 months. I am from private sector. They are currently accepting family visa request for Govt sector and Qatar Airways only. Inspite of this, i will once again visit somewhere in mid of december. keeping my fingers crossed for visas to open soon

@rajaebinazer......Yeah for govt employees they issue visa....but not for private sector...Am still waiting to hear good news.

@VRatal : Selection of Nationality is mandatory which which u cannot submit ur application.. However if you select any nationality, application cannot be processed through Metrash currently and that is the reason MOI started accepting applications manually (For Government Companies)

Hello guys this is an update regarding Family RESIDENCE visa

My husband today went to gharaffa immigration to apply for Family residence visa , as all we know that India is still not included in nationality column in metrash 2 app

They have manually accepted our application, and they have told to check in metrash after 4 days . They told we will receive the visa by this month. ( Note - my husband is working in government company) i am not sure whether they accept for private companies too

@By Pencil888...by u r post have u uploaded doc in metrash 2? coz when i thought of make myself ready uploading all document for getting family visa i noticed india is not in list while choosing country options in metrash2..can any one tell is it possible without opting country?

I understood that Rental agreement is not required to be attached as an supporting document while applying for a dependent visa through Metrash. Reason behind may be the address is already updated in Metrash and Immigration will ensure that there exists NO duplication..

My doubt is Do we required to submit for Manual application in Immigration as the agreement is not in my name..

They have resumed labour visas but not family yet. Even November is coming to an end almost.

@rajaebinazer.... Yes for private sector they are taking around 45-50 days for entry permit. Its so difficult tobbe without family. Its going to be almost an year now. I am so desperately waiting to hold my little baby whom i have just seen on video calls. Don't know when this wait is gonna end

Just now i went to India and came back... as i am working in govt sector i got my return permit soon... but for others it is taking long time... but brother if you go to India and come back alone again, you will miss your family too much .. thats what i am suffering now...

If they are not opening new family visas then at least they should give some relaxations in exceptional entry permit so that we can at least visit our family in India and come back.

Lets not lose the hope.. but tired of waiting..if they open soon it will be very nice... eagerly waiting to be united with family
