Total panic now setting in as we have school places, house etc and now we have a hiccup As my husband is a CIMA qualified accountant and does not have a bachelors degree. CIMA is equivalent to a masters degree and he has been qualified for years.
initially we have been told that he can work but cannot bring us (me and our children) with him?!
Has anyone else managed to get a work visa and their family in who is CIMA qualified?

Hi, yes you should never give up until you tried everything possible to get them convinced. There should be a way for sure. Wish you all the success!
We have arrange for NARIC in the UK to provide a vertical confirming that CIMA is now a level 7 and equivalent to a masters degree and will get this attested with the other documents and try immigration again. I feel like I can't given up on it without trying everything I can.
Earlier it wasn’t like that. But now yes, the rules have been stricter by the authorities. Some designation titles in Qatar requires a higher education certificate such as Bachelors or Master. I presume, may be this part of the world, still the framework does not exists to map the professional qualification into an equivalent academic body (such as CIMA = Masters).
Thanks for your reply. No it hasn't been attested- is that what we need to do? We were thinking that if we take the certificate with the supporting documents ourselves to the Qatar embassy in London it might be ok. Today the PRO just stated the following......"PRO company confirms that your certificate is supported by the Supreme Educational Council. However, it could not be utilized as an educational certificate by the Qatar immigration as the CFO/Manager position will only require a higher education certificate or a bachelor's degree".
Has your husband’s CIMA credential been attested by the Qatar Foreign Ministry? As long as that is done, that wouldn’t be a problem provided that his income is in line according the minimum requirement.
