Approved Family Visit Visa and Name Issue
Dear All,
I am srilankan,
1 week back I applied for my wife family visit visa through metrash,
in my wife Passport her Name is mentioned as bellow,
Surname: Mohamed Mahdi
Othername: Zara
So when I apply for visa in metrash,
for the first name I mentioned Zara and last Name I mentioned Mohamed Mahdi,
They cancelled my application,
then I again applied back by changing the First name as Mohamed Mahdi and Lastname: Zara,
they approved my visa and in the visa name was "Mohamed Mahdi Zara",
Two days back I came to srilanka to pick her, when I go to airport ticket counter to drop our luagage and collect boarding pass,
Officer in the counter said her name is mismatching in the order and it must be "Zara Mohamed Mahdi" and not other way,
they didnot allow me to board because of this reason,
Can anyone please give me an idea how to solve this issue without my self alone coming to Qatar, is it possible to solve it in Qatar Embassy here,
I already prepared an Affidavit and going to get it attested from Qatar embassy and travel, but I donot want to get dissapointed again and return back,
please advice me, thanks
I solved this problem by sending one of my friend to messaimer immigration, with my qatar id copy , wife passport copy and visa copy, and meet the captain, and he amend it..
The same SRi Lankan airways stopped me due to same issue.
My second name went to third name palace and third name appeared at first.
Afterwards, i corrected my visa , my sponsor applied fro name change , then only i could travel.
Molten: Keep your advice to yourself. I don't post rubbish like you do non-stop just to see your name of the QL page.
It is your ticketing agent who filled the name incorrectly. I will Blame the ticket agent not Accha.
Accha, You are wrong. Avoid answering the subjects which are beyound your capacity my pal. There is no harm in that, believe me. Just move on to the next forum in cases like this.
You can try through Qatar Embassy in your country and explain everything to them along with the difficulty you faced in boarding a flight. They may be able to help you out. I guess that could be the best option.
