QNB unveils new mobile banking app at Microsoft Mobility Summit 2015
At the recent Microsoft Mobility Summit 2015 the CIO of QNB, Mr Adel Al-Malki, unveiled the companys new mobile application.
Running off the Windows 8.1 platform it provides both QNB customers, and non-bank cutsomers, with access to certian feautures of the mobile app.
It was developed in-house with some external involvement from Microsoft, and provides users with a one-stop service for all their banking needs.
Users can access their QNB accounts for detailed account balances, and customers can also transfer money to any Western Union branch in the world at the click of a button.
QNB has also introduced an innovative feature which allows users to upload pictures of any cheques they wish to deposit into their account, so customers will not even have to come into their local branch.
They are only the second banking company in the world to have this unique feature, which would help save time for both business clients and personal banking customers.
Currently, the application is available on Pro Surface devices at select QNB branches including the City Centre branch.
What do you think about the feautures of this new app? Do you think it will help to reduce long waiting times at banks?
