Tech enthusiasts build actions for their local community
Google Developers Group (GDG) Doha, held the “Build Actions for Your Community” event, on Saturday at the Innovation Center in Qatar Science and Technology Park.
The event consisted of a series of talks, demos and a codelab offering opportunities to learn how to build actions for the Google Assistant that are useful for the local community.
Developers, designers and entrepreneurs brainstormed a variety of solutions ranging from car price predictions, mood changers to disease syndrome analysis and doctor recommendations. Attendees had the chance to form teams and implement their ideas.
The event was sponsored by Qatar Science and Technology Park.
“Build Actions for Your Community” is part of a series of events designed by Google and taking place this year from March to July in many countries around the world.
Despite the holiday season the GDG Doha team is already working on the next event - Google I/O Extended - an inspiring recap of this year’s Google I/O with insights from guest speakers and community building activities.
GDG Doha is a local group of developers, designers and tech-enthusiasts who are interested in Google Products and APIs. They host a variety of activities for the local tech community - from networking meetups, workshops and codelabs, to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to hackathons.
If you want to join the community, follow GDG Doha on Social Media and sign up for the upcoming events.
