Fenix announces the launch of licensed e-scooter transport services in Qatar
In coordination with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Fenix has announced the launch of its e-scooter, which will be operational in certain locations of Qatar. The locations have been chosen based on suitability and include West Bay, West Bay Lagoon, Onaiza, and Legtaifiya.
The licensed micro-mobility solution is the first of its kind to feature integrated sanitization packs across every e-scooter, ensuring a COVID-19 free ride. With the safety of the rider in mind, the e-scooter will also feature the industry’s best braking systems, large wheels, great suspension, and long-life swappable batteries, contributing to carbon emission reduction.

Within the COVID-19 pandemic context, riders across the globe have turned to and embraced micro-mobility during the pandemic and make Fenix’s e-scooters one of the safest solutions for shared transportation in Doha.
To make sure everyone has a COVID-19 free experience, the rider is given full control and comfort through the already included sanitization pack, in addition to the sanitization of all vehicles while recharging and being re-deployed in the city.
Visitors and residents now have the opportunity to experience Fenix’s e-scooter which can be driven once you scan the its barcode through their user-friendly Fenix app, which is available on both Google Play and App Store (English and Arabic).
You can pay and ride with a base fare of QAR 3 to unlock the e-scooter, followed by QAR 1 per minute of use. Moreover, frequent users can sign up for value saving monthly packages with up to 70% off. The app also features safety instructions, navigational tips, guidelines, online and safe payment options, tutorials, and more.
Fenix will facilitate the movement of residents in Doha, incentivizing people to use on-demand mobility services rather than owning and using cars, while saving parking spaces, time and reducing costs and carbon footprint. Doha riders will enjoy smart weekend rides and commuting across busy streets with utmost convenience.
Fenix works hard to ensure that its e-scooters are properly parked and is testing incentives for responsible use in and across municipalities. To ensure reliability and maximum availability, Fenix conducts extensive quality control maintenance checks to ensure its fleet of vehicles are safely and reliably available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and all year round.
Furthermore, Fenix will host a series of ‘Safety Academy’ sessions in Qatar, which serves to educate users about the safe and effective use of e-scooters. Fenix will continue to invest in educating users to adhere to safety precautions, such as driving safely and only on cycle paths, wide sidewalks, and minor roads, and where and how to park the e-scooters in a responsible way that doesn’t impair pedestrian access, roads or building entrances.
