Facebook’s video profiles become more widely available!
If you’re a Facebook aficionado, then chances are you’ve changed your profile pictures at least once.
Until now, you could upload only still pictures as your profile pic. The tech giant, in late 2015, tested ‘seven-second videos’ as profiles and has now rolled it out more widely.
What does it mean? Just that in true Harry Potter style, your profile pictures will start moving.
In its online post from October, 2015, Facebook noted that ‘People visit Facebook profiles more than four billion times per day, and we’re continually looking for ways to make profiles the best place for people to curate their online identities and connect with others.
‘We’re unveiling some new, mobile-friendly features for Facebook profiles. We’re now starting the next step in an obvious evolution of profiles: profile videos. Soon, you’ll be able to film a short, looping video clip that will play for anyone who visits your profile,’ it said.
The videos, like vines, will play in a continuous loop. But there will be no sound unless you specifically click on it.
It’s certainly interesting how the tech giants continuously keep on improvising and improving. Have you tested out the new features on iOS and Android yet?
