Apple launches iPhone 7 and improved, GPS-ready Apple Watch 2
After months of speculation, tech giants Apple finally unveiled the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus today.
Though designs of the two phones are almost similar to that of iPhone 6 and 6S, it is now water resistant.
As had been widely speculated, the new iPhone does not have a headphone jack and it is sure to invite the ire of Apple purists. However, a dual camera system has been introduced for the higher-end 7 Plus.
Apple has claimed that the new dual camera system will allow 2x optical zoom without loss of image quality. Improved battery life as well as presence of stereo speakers will make the phone more attractive to users.
The phone can be pre-ordered now and will begin shipping by September 16. It is expected to reach Qatar around the same time.
Apple Watch Series 2
The second-generation smartwatch is unsurprisingly called the Apple Watch Series 2. Design-wise, it is almost similar to its predecessor. The square, customizable watchface mostly tells time and display notifications.
However, the biggest change is that it has now become much more water-resistant and can be used while swimming. There is also a new built-in GPS system, which does not require a phone to function.
The company has also upgraded the device’s processor and display.
Are you happy with the new changes?
