Qatar parachute team wins gold at the World Parachute Championships in Russia
The Qatar parachute jump team, which is affiliated with the Qatar Air Sports Committee and the Joint Special Forces, witnessed an outstanding performance at the Parachute World Championships which ended yesterday in Russia.
After winning the gold medal in the quadruple tangle competition, the silver medal in the duo sunchill competition, and the bronze medal in the quadruple tangle competition, the Qatari team surpassed most competitors who represented more than 30 countries.
The three medals were presented to Qatar's champions yesterday at the World Cup closing ceremony, which saw the culmination of all competitions in the presence of representatives from the International Air Sports Federation and the Russian Aero Sports Federation, as well as representatives from the World Cup teams.

The Qatari team consisting of Abdullah Hani, Saeed Al-Kuwari, Hassan Al-Malki, Ali Al-Marri, and Saleh Al-Kuwari excelled in the quadruple tangle competitions, winning the gold medal after taking first place with 151 points, outperforming the Russian team who took second place and the silver medal with 146 points.
Moreover, the Belarusian team managed to place third and took home the bronze medal after securing 135 points.
In the duo competition, the Qatari team "Sunshel A," which included Abdulaziz Al-Abdullah, Salman Al-Sharshani, and Ahmed Al-Yafei, came in second with 220 points, trailing the French team "Sonschel A," which ranked first and won the gold medal with a score of 243 points. With 194 points, the French team "Schoenchel B" took third and earned the bronze medal.
The Qatari team consisting of Hamad Al-Marri, Rashid Al-Kubaisi, Fahd Al-Shamri, and Abdulaziz Al-Shamri won the bronze medal after finishing third with 160 points in the four-way cohesion competition, while the Belgian team won the gold medal after finishing first with 193 points.
Furthermore, the US team finished second with 169 points and was awarded the silver medal.
The Qatar parachute jump team competed in the World Cup in Russia with four teams: the Quadruple Cohesion Team, the Goal, the Parachute Interlock, and the Eight Cohesion Team, all of which are linked with the Qatar Air Sports Committee for the Joint Special Forces.
The Qatari parachute jumping team's dominance and three international medals are the greatest preparation for the upcoming World Military Parachute Jumping Championship, which will be held in Doha from November 15 to 30, with roughly 40 countries participating.
