Qatar duo claims first gold at the Asian School Tenpin Bowling Championships
Qatar unlocks another solid achievement with a fascinating win in the Boy's Doubles at the 20th Asian School Tenpin Bowling Championships held in Hong Kong yesterday.
Young bowling stars, Nasser Al Mansouri and Badr Al Sada, have done the country proud with their stellar performance at the international tournament.

Al Sada scorched the lanes at SCAA Bowling Centre with a striking 279 points in his opening game while his partner, Al Mansouri secured 256 to give the Qatari duo a total of 535 points.
Singles gold and bronze medallists, Hideaki Hata and Naoto of Japan, were a little behind with a score of 517.
The Qatari pair put up a stunning pace locking in 497 and 486 points in their next two games to extend their lead to 131 pins at the halfway mark.
Hong Kong B Team's second pair of Wilson Chan and Derick Yau moved into the second spot, 16 pins ahead of Hong Kong A Team's first pair of Alex Yu and Keith Mark.
Japan slipped down to fourth after managing only 425 and 408 in games 2 and 3.
Al Mansouri struck the championship's first 300 in the fourth game with his partner adding 222.
With the two Hong Kong pairs reaching the second and third spot while Japan remained in fourth, Qatar finished off with 447 and 428 to clinch the first position with a total of 2915 points.
Hong Kong A team's Yu and Mark ended with the second spot at a total score of 2729 while Japan bounced back in their final game to reach the third spot with 2709 points.
The competition will evolve to the Team of Four today.
The top 16 boys and top 16 girls based on their All-Events standings (18 games) will qualify for the Masters finals on July 11 and 12.
