Aspire Zone ready to host 6:50 Race for running enthusiasts

Aspire Zone Foundation will host the 4th edition of Aspire International 6:50 Race during the IAU international weekend on November 11.

You can come cheer for the participants during the 6:50 race and enjoy all the activities at the fan zone. There will also be some prizes for the audience who participate in the activities.

The organizers have promised fun activities for all those attending. There will be stalls selling traditional foods, face painting and henna artists. There will also be camels and falcons if you would like to take photos with them.

6:50 Race

The Aspire International 6:50KM is a 50km Individual Run Race with Team Relay (5 persons) designed in Multi Lap format. The challenge is to run 50KM within 6 hours.

Aspire International 6:50KM Race will give the opportunity to local and foreigner running enthusiasts to run alongside with IAU elite athletes.

The event will count an athlete village where participants can check in for its race , warm up, cool down meet up with the organizers, media and other participants

Course:

The course, currently being determined it comprises tarmac, tile and paved road. It is closed to traffic and features drink stations and food per loop. The race will be run in the evening but the course will be well lit.

In essence, this should be quite a fast course with little gradient change and most turns being wide in nature.

Due to present construction at Aspire Zone, the overall course will be redesigned from 2015 and will be announce in due course.

Drink stations will be located to the right of the course and will offer; beverages and snacks. . Sponges will be offered at one station.

a. IAU 50km World Championships individual Male/Female;
b. IAU 50km World Championships team Male/Female

Only athletes and teams officially approved by the IAU may be entered in the World Championship category.
