Why do we ?

  • Why do we wear clothes?
  • Is there any other species doing the same?
  • Why even a the Uncontacted Tribes who never had connection to the modern world , try to cover up their private parts?

In ancient time people has to find the food by hunting their prey both men & women will be the hunters. Many times they have to run fast to hunt down a prey. Both men & women had faced problem due to the hanging parts of both (hope you understand both ) so they used to tie it up to run fast. Later this thing has become the dress code. By time it has become an unavoidable culture.

SC we did not evolve from monkies, hominds, apes and monkies evolved from a common ancestor...

Evolution takes place over long periods of time and such rapid evolutional changes are not seen in the higer mammals in that way. (We are complex beings compared to single celled organisms).

However some evolutionary changes have been seen in man. For example some tribes that live high up in the mountains in Nepal have a genetic mutation that allows them to produce more red blood cells than other groups of humans. This allows them to survive and prosper in high altitudes.

and many other species by struggling for local resources had contributed something natural to their next generation but only human could not able have thicker skin or whatever to adapt to the local environment.. why???

    Hehehe

So APPARENTLY we are able to evolve from monkies or whatever into humans BUT we cannot evolve to have a thicker skin or grow furr in new environments...YEA THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT BUWAHAHAHAHAHA

We of the "Flat earth" society have spent long hours discussing this. Our theory is that the dinosaurs actually walked to the end of the earth looking for greener pastures and then fell off into the abyss :O(

Finally , you are beginning to see sense. By the way, there is some discussion still as to whether the dinosaurs were created at the same time as man.

“O children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover your shame, and (clothing) for beauty and clothing that guards (against evil), that is the best. This is of the communications of Allah that they may be mindful (Al-Qur’an-Surah A’raf-Ayah 26)

    2. we should not compare our self to animals

But animals have fur to keep warm or to attract a mate. Their fur serves a specific purpose.

Humans also wear clothes to keep warm and some wear certain clothes to attract a mate.

There are tribes that remain uncovered but only for certain ceremonies. Youtube - TRIBE (BBC,Bruce Parry)

I think once man discovered that he were the most advanced species on the planet (allegedly) Neanderthal A said to Neanderthal B ''Hang on mate, shouldn't we be covering ourselves up or something''.

B replies ''Well, I covered up ages ago because Im sick of you staring at my private parts''.

A says to B ''I was only staring because yours is smaller than mine''. B says to A ''See this spear......''

protection from the weather... tribes protect their privates because when protected they protect from scratches while hunting, hiking, rashes from plants, insect bites etc....

it further developed... full body protection in winter.. protection from heat... UV can be dangerous... plus hygiene is an issue

in ancient days, women were topless in most of the rural arts in asian continents, until the british era introduced them to proper clothing...

only humans wear clothing... unless some douchebags dress their pets...yeah we are the only ones who do it...

nudists feel they don't need clothing because they want to feel close to nature... others have a fabric allergy

    hope this helps...

For many of us it is due to the expansion out of africa into different climates. Evolution works but it does not work that fast, so we took a short cut.

And yes there are still some tribes that have their private parts dangling out, if that is your thing.

OK.. I'll respond because I've been on QL a long time and heard most of the responses.

We should not be forced to wear clothes. Our bodies are something to be proud of and not necessarily hidden. It is society - especially those buggers in Saudi Arabia that force us to wear clothes and thus subjugate women.
