Where can i meet new friends?

ChelseaMan
By ChelseaMan

Hi everyone, im new to this city (barely 48 hours) i want to meet like minded friends male and female to socialise and enjoy doha with. I come from london and i know this isnt the City i left behind. I was born, bred edumacated and worked in London all my life.

But i dont plan to let that put a damper on things.

Doha will be what i make of it and i want to meet people who i can help have a laugh and can help me to have a laugh.

So where are you and get in touch fast!!!

PS i am here over xmas and New years. (Dont ask)

it can be lonely at first but it does get better. I am sure somebody from your work will ask you round for dinner etc. It won't take long to make new friends. Welcome.

if youre really interested in meeting new friends, i suggest you start by forming a group that has similar interests that you have.

and one more thing we came here to qatar not just to slave over work but to meet new people as well.

cheers,

didn't see the date of the thread but anyway...

To answer your question, being in QL is a good start to meeting friends. As you know, QL has it's Social Group and other Groups (click on the Groups Tab on the tap center page just below the site logo) that you could join in...such as the Movie, book clubs, etc.

The Ramada Plaza has a lot of options all packed into one location. Several bars, including Orion, the Library Bar, Bubbles, and the Qube. Orion has live jazz I think every other Wednesday.

hey Chelseaman, i assume we're both fan of Chelsea and Lampard. You can meet lots of buddies in every bar, restaurants etc. Just be kind with your approach. People here are pretty friendly. Join some QL groups and wait for any activities to come.

Red Pop thanks for the welcome. I dont get that drunk anymore. :(. hangovers hurt as you get older.

I came her eto work, as London isn't looking very pretty at the moment.

with regards to the visa, License and all the other stuff - i have someone to do that for me.

salary is awesome as it is tax free. Cost of living is dropping according to analysts, rentals have to come down.

So people, when are we all going to meet for a drink and shesha.

Another bloody English mule!

Another future drunk!

I started to hate all those British landing in my coast.

Who in the hell they think they are?

For what did you came here for?

To work or spend your money and time partying?

Anyhow welcome to Qatar and Qatar Living, my English dude!!

i guess you will be the next one asking in QL after you spend your money partying, Where is my Visa? Where is my Driving license? My salary is not good, DRIVING IN DOHA is hell and Cost of living is real expensive..
