Nor any creatures would be able to know the full truth about any thing, this is simply because we only see and hear little about anything, therefore we are limited in this world, plus we have other human being who create the wrong imoression under the name of politics, power, money, entertainmant and many other reasons. However, the only one that knows the truth in full is god because he is the most knowledgable and god guide us to live in the most truthful way... yet we tend to rebel against the guidance of god.

Also we are in this life temporarily so there are alot fo reality covered from us, however, once we die we all start seeing the full truth and then we live in the permenant life.

Allah said to Adam when he took him from heaven "Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve."

from where should one get conciousness by bypassing the mind ?

We all carry our own truths....to know it we need consciousness and not mind or education...infact mind can obfuscate the truth.

In actuality truth should be all things correct, honest, accurate and right based on solid facts, honest findings and righteousness and devoid of any doubts and falsehood.

However to prove that what one has/says/is upon is in fact true is not always easy.

Distinguishing truth from falsehood is a truly intricate and even laborious task.

And the truth is what we may have with us of what we believe is true may very well not be true...or not the complete truth.

I do do believe though that the more one seeks knowledge and enlightenment righteously, with an open mind, and humbleness then the truth of matters will become clearer to them!

BE, I have already said this was an arbitrary benchmark that I proposed to measure myself with. Again, I never meant an educated person had to be a free thinker and pragmatic. What I said was this.." I would like to compare my views with that of other educated AND pragmatic minds and know how close I stand from the truth."

I would like my benchmark to be persons who are educated as well as pragmatic. I said this because un-educated people may not know the systematic approach to discern truth from myths.

Nature has provided us with bigger brains..so we should try to use it more to understand the truth through reasons than being taken over by our evolutionary psychology of 'aping' others around us.

BE, We all know theoretical physics is not science in the real sense...so it isn't the truth.

A hypothesis in theoretical physics that is not verifiable, is just a model...but the model gets closer to the truth once you start getting evidence of its effects. A model becomes a near-truth when we get evidence of all its effects and can also explain other events linked with it using previously known phenomena or laws.

Oh! I see MM ... When we look at the mirror the truth can never hide... Will see the progress...

What about theoretical physics or theoretical math. How is the truth determined there , if not through assumptions.

So Knight Returns, what you are basically saying is that, people are good at defying what is truth and what is not, by way of deeming everyone else that dowouldnt agree with their version of the truth to be wrong andare destined to rot in hell?

truth has definite consequences so who fear asks others to do it for them ..

So the truth actually is fear.

If the phenomenon exists, truth comes through pragmatism..and if it cannot be verified, truth shall come out through clear reasoning, not based on assumptions.

If neither of the above is possible, its better to leave a void in our knowledge base than filling it up with something unverifiable.

but on a more serious note, Truth to me is the ability to look at things from a third dimension.
