It’s time to welcome a new month and inarguably better season! If you’re in Qatar this weekend, good timing (this goes for just about every weekend), there are a ton of fun things to do here, but don't worry—we've whittled the list down to our top 10 for November 8 through 10.

 

1. Put Your Jazz Hands Together for the 5th annual  Katara European Jazz Festival.

Where: Katara Esplanade
Date: 6 November - 10 November
Time: 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

With 4 astounding festivals in previous years, Katara Cultural Village is set to host the 5th edition of the European Jazz Festival this weekend. A record-breaking number of participating countries will join this year including Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Belgium and Italy. All which are members of the European Union National Institutes for Culture in Qatar, the performers are among the most renowned in their countries’ jazz scene and will be performing a few of their hit songs. The five day festival will showcase a few performances each night at the Katara Esplanade!

2. Satiate Your Culinary Wishes at the Taste Tour at Mall of Qatar.

Where: Mall of Qatar
Date: 1 November - 30 November
Time: 11:00 am - 11:59 pm

No tickets needed.

This year, Mall of Qatar just launched its first ever Taste Tour, allowing everyone to enjoy live cooking demos at the Ooreedo stage, a mini cooking zone for all the little creative chefs at the iconic Oasis and various challenges to win tasty treats and vouchers. Each restaurant has a chance to impress you with their offerings - so come and satiate your culinary wishes!

3. Embark on a Gastronomic Adventure at Hospitality Qatar.

Where: Doha Exhibition and Convention Center
Date: 6 November - 8 November
Time: 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Qatar’s 4th annual Global Hospitality and HORECA show is back this weekend at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. This show is an platform for all kinds of people across the hospitality business to showcase their best work including several competitions held amongst 300 chefs for titles such as best live cooking show, best ice carving, best mocktail and much much more. There will also be numerous industry leaders across several sectors of hospitality speaking in depth on how to overcome challenges in this field and a few of the newly-fangled trends of the coming year.

4. Join in on the Ultimate Adventure OCR at Doha Fun Fest's Extreme Sports!

Where: Qatar Sports Club
Date: 9 November

Qatar Sports Club opened its doors to all thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies to join in on all kinds of extreme sport activities. 5. Embrace the Cooler Weather at Saturday Sundowner Sessions.

Where: Mondrian Doha - Walima Terrace

With the cooler, more patio-friendly weather slowly approaching us, Mondrian Doha just launched its Saturday Sundowner Sessions at Walima Terrace, which allows guests the unique opportunity to indulge in Qatari dining and hospitality. Guests can enjoy live vocal & minimal deep house music by renowned DJs whilst indulging in Qatari dining. 6. Shake Your Hips at Latin Moovz

7. Kayak Your Way Into the Sunset at Mangroves!

The Mangroves is a spectacular adventure carved by the waves. Your adventurous spirit will be satisfied with a weekend trip to Al khor, to watch the sun set as you paddle your way through Flamingo island. 8. Smash Plates and Dance the Night Away at Opa Night.

Opa Night at Santorini restaurant is back! Bring your friends and family for an unforgettable evening of authentically delicious Greek fare and non-stop ‘Zorba’ dancing along to Greek tunes performed live by the DJ. 9. Serenade Yourself at Jef Neve’s Concert.

The Belgian embassy will hold an exquisite evening open to everyone, filled with live symphonies by Jef Neve, a Belgian jazz and classical music pianist and composer. The afternoon is filled with beautiful rhythms and is followed by an exclusive lunch buffet. Although entry is free, reservations are required as spots are limited!

10. Bob Your Head Whilst Indulging in Peruvian Cuisine at Manko

Where: Intercontinental Doha
Date: 8-10 November
Time: 6:00 pm - 2:00 am

A new upscale Parisian restaurant and lounge just opened this month at Intercontinental Doha offering a fusion of Peruvian cuisine and Japanese traditions, courtesy of Peruvian celebrity chef, Gastón Acurio. This weekend,  DJ Dorian Craft is coming all the way from Manko Paris to play live at this classy newcomer. The lounge offers an outgoing and social atmosphere with a rooftop terrace that displays unimpeded panoramic views of the gulf and skyline - don't miss out!
